This is a well known synagogue in Houston. I was part of the design team. This addition is interesting because the original architects, Mackee and Kamrath, had designed the original in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1945. Then over time there had been two additions done by other architects, first, Clovis Heimsath and then Morris in completely different styles. However each made the entrance from the parking new. So now the current design layers a new entrance done in the style of Frank Lloyd Write on top of two other entrances with the original peeking out above. The new addition included a multipurpose hall as well as a new school.
